Seger Architects, Inc. provides complete architectural services from programming through construction contract administration, including feasibility studies, renderings, code analysis, cost estimation and materials research.

Seger Architects, Inc. has combined experience of over 50 years in all facets of Architectural design. Of particular interest and experience is the adaptive use or additions to historic and/or significant structures for contemporary use. Through their work as Seger Architects, Inc. and within other firms as Project Managers and Project Architects many successful and award winning historic restoration and adaptive use projects have realized new importance through their adapted use. Successful restoration and adaptive use of our historic resources requires a thorough understanding of the value of historic structures to a community and the architect’s vision and discipline to see value in the re-purpose these structures for contemporary use.

We work closely with our consulting engineers to ensure a well coordinated design and construction drawing package.

Job Opportunities

Project Designer/Job Captain

We are looking to hire a motivated, experienced Job Captain/Project Designer to work full-time in our Salem, MA office. The applicant MUST have 5-7 years of POST-graduate experience and should have good organizational skills and an understanding of the importance of drawing set, basic CAD standards and rendering skills in Sketch-up. The applicant will be immersed in many projects and should be capable of assuming a lead role on the production of construction documents for various projects. The applicant will assist with specific technical design aspects of an assigned project including evaluation and recommendation of design solutions. You will gain training and experience applicable for IDP credits required for the registration exam. Required competencies include AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch-Up and Microsoft Office. Revit and other graphic and 3D software capabilities are a plus.
